WeSwifted originated during HackDuke 2024 as a collaborative project with a team of five people, including my close friends Brian Mason and Yash Dagade (aka "Yash the God").
The concept, proposed by Yash, addresses a significant gap: many companies lack the resources to maintain legal teams dedicated to reviewing new bills and legislation that might affect their business operations. WeSwifted provides an accessible solution to this problem.
Our system works through a three-step process: 1. Companies register by providing their website domain, which our system scrapes to understand their business model, operations, and potential regulatory concerns 2. When new legislation is passed, WeSwifted automatically scrapes and analyzes the bill's content 3. Using large language models, the system compares the bill against the company's profile to identify potential impacts
If the system detects that legislation will affect a registered business, it automatically generates and sends a detailed email explaining the bill, its specific impacts on their operations, and recommended actions they can take in response.
This solution democratizes access to legislative intelligence, allowing smaller businesses without dedicated legal resources to stay informed about regulatory changes relevant to their operations.
